Leon, is the water just gurgling or is it flushing? What return pump are you using and what size overflow do you have?

From not seeing what is going on I would guess you could either lower the flow from your return pump and or use a new cap on the durso and experiment by drilling the hole from small to large to see what quiets it best.

I agree with Jackson, lower the flow or put on a new cap. I experimented with using some sponges as well in the past, which stopped the gurgling, you will just have to be careful and make sure you change them often as get they clogged easily.

Leon, do you have the pump turned all the way up? What size are your overflow hole(s?)

If you lower the flow it should quiet down

i turn it all the way up and even lower down as well and the intake and I got the same problem.
I think the durso pipe is 1 1/4 and it reduce to the bulk heads..I got to check the side of the blulk head but it's the one that comes with the oceanic tank (120g)

Here is what I did. I drilled a hole on the cap of the standpipe to insert an air pump tubing. Then I either insert more tubing into the standpipe or less to control the water level inside the overflow box. Works like a charm.
