Trying to save money on sand, help please!

Hey everyone I'm to start up a new tank after taking a break from the hobby and I was just wondering is there anyway to save money on sand or am i pretty much doomed to the pet store prices. I mean the prices at the pet store aren't going to kill me but it wouldn't hurt to save a few bucks.

go into the marketplace and look for someone on mr who already has some. go into the wtb section and post what your looking for. everyone on here knows lfs are expencive so see if any local mr has something your looking for! good luck

fosterandsmithaquatics.com has a flat shipping price regardless of weight and the price is most likely less than the LFS.

i have a 5 gallon pail from my 240 build that is a little less than 3/4 full ...if you want to make the trip you can have it ...
