I finally got the power back since Saturday. I have a battery air pump but since the tank is in the basement the temp dropped down into the low 60's. My RBTA died & what a smell. corals especially zoo's & paly's do not look good. When I tried to take out the RBTA it came apart in little pieces, all over the tank. Siphoned what a could get & did a 30% water change. I would not keep another BTA, it's just too sensitve. I will do another water change around 10-20 % depending how the corals look. The one coral that still looks good is the Tyree war coral. Might be time to get a back-up generator save on food & corals spoiling.lol I quess now is a good time to set-up my 80gal cube & wait for it to cycle & transfer every out of the 30 gal cube.

You might want to do a larger water change as soon as you can, and also run new carbon if at all possible.

Sorry for your loss, and OMG they do smell awful when they die

Good point I will pick-up some carbon from the LFS after work.
So far I have not lost any corals & the percs look good.

Thanks Jim. Yeah trees are down on almost every street. It was like a maze to get to the hutch this morning to go to work. My wife just called me that some idiot down the street tried to cut a tree that was leaning & took down the some line but did not affect our power. I guess he's on another grid but our cable & phones are now out, so I guess he might have had a hand in knocking out the cable.

Thanks Chief: It's almost like if your in this hobby for a long time eventually something happens. Over the years I have read so many horror stories on this site. I do not think that I will lose the corals so not so bad.
