Frag Swap??

Hey everyone,

I'm relatively new to the reef keeping. Only been in the hobby about 2 years. I wanted to know when the next frag swap is. Can someone tell me exactly how the frag swap's work and where they are held. Thanks a lot everyone.

We are planning a frag swap for the end of Feb, early March.

People bring frags to give away, sell, trade, etc. People also donate frags to the site which are then auctioned off and the money is counted as a donation.

We are planning this one way in advance, so it should be good. It will most likely be at a bar or restaurant (hopefully in midtown, central to all).

If enough people are interested I will be buying a box or two of frags from GARF to use as a grab bag.

If you have a soft coral tank or SPS, either way, you are going to go home with some goodies.

More information should be available next week once we solidify the location.

Thanks sounds like a reefer's dream meeting. Now if it's at a bar will I be able to get in (only 17)? I'm definately interested. I'll be following along as you guys post more and more about it. How long do they usually last? A couple hours. Thanks again.

I liked the place we did it last time, in Downtown Manhattan. My vote is to definately have it in a bar somewhere. It was great to eat some food and drink a few drinks (with EtOH included, ) while trading corals.

At the end, I didn't want to leave, but unfortunately the corals needed to get into their new home.

This time around I am going to have some cool frags available .

Right now, the tentative date is SUNDAY, March 6th but that may change becuase JOshSaul would like to get a grab-bag gift box of SPS and zoos from Garf to auction off. That can only happen on a saturday. We'll keep you all posted.
