Oyster Feast

When you feed with oyster feast do you stop you main pump and feed or just let them run and feed? How do you feed your sps with oyster feast

Main pumps and protein skimmer off for about 30-45 minutes. Leave the powerhead on to let the particles float around in the tank to ensure that corals get food. . Just squirt about a teaspoon full in. You will notice your zoanthids and button polyps close. That's normal, they captured some food and are eating. If you have LPS they will extend their tenticles and some will bubble up. All normal. BTW the water will appear alittle cloudy, that's normal as well.

I just leave everything on. I don't see a need to shut the skimmer off since feeding will collapse the foam for a while anyway. You will see an improvement in PE on your SPS. If you dose too much you will start to see some nuisance algae pop up.

I been using it for mounths just wanted to know if i was doing it right.I was leaving the main pump and skimmer on .

I shut down my main pumps, phos/carb reactor, and skimmer off just so that the Oyster feast, rotifer feast, phytoplankton & tobikko eggs stay in the tank where the animals are. I'm not interested in feeding my sump & skimmer.lol
I also target feed the animals with it. I do this before lights on every other day.
