How long does it take to hatch brine shrimps

I been running the brine shrimp hatchery kit for 3 days and nothing???
the temp is about 80 water from tank and got air pump runing med level ...
what am i doing wrong ??

sometimes if the brine shrimp egg is bad, that is what happen.

You sure they didn't hatch yet? They usually hatch over night for me. Look closer, baby brine shrimps are pretty small bout the size of the eggs themselves

Baby brine shrimps are almost microscopic, also most will not hatch.

Or you can try and turn off your lights and use a flashlight...all the baby brine shrimp will be attracted to the light, you should see a swarm.

I'm still trying to hatching the brine eggs . I opened up a 2nd bag of eggs and today is the 2nd day and nothing ?? what am i doing wrong ??
last one i had it running for 3 days and it started to smell bad so i through it out ..
I 'm using water from my tank temp is 80 .

Janey,

brine shrimp would not hatch properly in water from our tanks - brine, by definitoion is slightly less salty than tank water. I use the hatch kit that comes pre-salted with the eggs (just got it for christmas) and they are hatcing fine. I just did my second batch today. They take no longer than 36 hours, so 3 days was likely too long.

I have also been adding an invert supplement after 24 hours to hep them grow, not sure if that is helping, but the fish seem to really like them. Next step is growing them larger from the eggs.
