Cycling Question!

When I first cycle, can I cycle without fish and the cleaning crew? And when should I start putting in the cleaner crew?

if you really want to get it going, leave the fish out and throw in a bit of fish food into the tank

Cycle your tank with ro/di water, live rock, and sand. Add a very small pinch of flake food once a week. Test your water, and when ammonia, nitrites reach 0, and your trates fall around 40 (preferrably 20) add your cuc. Inverts are even more delicate then fish are to nitrates. Fish can handle trates valued at 40, inverts at 20.

During the waiting period you can occupy your time by researching the type of animals you would like to have in your glass box. By the time your tank is ready for it's inhabitants you should be well educated on their needs.

You can seed the tank also with some live sand from an established tank.

Helps round out the process.

In for the good info. I am almost done with my stand. just need to trim the borders, and stain it. So excited to get it started
