after seening all the tanks on here with beautiful rock work ive decided to rework mine because now it looks like a ugly pile of rocks at the back of my tank. do you guys use any kind of glue or something like that?

Well, you can, but it's not always necessary...factors such as tank depth (ft. to back) and height of the rockwork, will affect stability. But, besides that, you can drill rocks, and put in PVC or acrylic rods, for support. If you're planning on keeping corals that need room to grow, you may not want to pile rock up too high.

Awsome thanks. do you use just a regular drill bit for stone or is there something special to do the job

I have always used masonry bits

It isn't really necessary. I just redid my 50 gallon live rock. All I did was stack them on top of each other. Of course, you need to check to make sure they are stable.

Heres my tank. The rockwork isn't stable enough withstand anything dropped on it but its enough so that even with corals and fish it should be fine

Make sure the rocks are sitting on the glass at the bottom of the tank and not resting on sand. ESP if you have burrowing things like a pistol shrimp.
