hi i know pumps can be put in vinegar can i place a phosban reactor, i just got it from my friend and its been having water inside for a year , looks like sh*t . also im thinking of using it to run carbon do i need the sponges that it supose to have inside , mines are missing.

sponges are always good to have especially with carbon as it breaks easily and creates alot of dust..buy pellet carbon it's the best and does not break so easily and cause such a mess

vinegar bath is typically used because there is a lot of calcium or coraline buildup on it. Vinegar being acidic will melt calcium which is base.
