Honestly Trigger I don't really care for it. It skims very well but I have to constantly adjust the water level on the skimmer, like 4 or 5 times a day :irked:. Thinking of selling it but I don't have much room in my sump so I don't know what other skimmer will fit.
That's the problem. I have the aqueon Proflex model 1 sump and it only has 3 chambers. First chamber is where the filter socks are, second chamber is the refugium section and the third chamber is where the return pump and skimmer is. For some reason when the skimmer is on the water level in the third chamber goes up and down and doesn't stay at a constant level. I was thinking of putting the skimmer in the second chamber where my refugium is but the water level is to high for the skimmer to run. I took the skimmer off line about 2 weeks ago cause I was so frustrated with it, I may need to look in to getting a different sump but I have the Marineland 45 cube and the space under the stand is VERY limited.
