I recently found these barrels available at a local bait store for $10 :)

They had been used for vitamins, so the assumption is that they are food safe. They hadn't heard reports back from the fishermen buying them that there were any issues.

Thought I'd share this with you in case anyone is looking for a cheap easy way to store water.
I am using mine as a barrel filter for my pond.

They look good. How many gallons are the barrels?


I took measurements (and have no idea how to measure the volume of a cylinder..so I'll leave that up to one of you :))..each barrel is 26 1/2 " tall and the inside diameter is 18 1/2 " across.

They have handles on the side and the top pops on (as opposed to screw-on). The bottom & top are flat.

They have sold a bunch of them and I'd guess there are about 30 of them left.
