Need to borrow drill & tap bit

22/32 is 11/16. that might be easier to find.

Also, 1/2 x 14 is an oddball size. The standard is 1/2 x 13. I don't think they make what you're looking for, unless you're going metric. Or NPT pipe thread sizes.

I think your right. I only have the 1/2"X20 and the 1/2"X13 sizes and I have complete kits. I also have the complete metric kits if you need. I never heard of 1/2"X14. I will have to check my other kits for it. Are you sure of the size ?

It might be pipe thread if he's screwing in a fitting. But, I'm a maintenance manager/mechanic at a plant in Queens, and I've never heard of 1/2"x14. The closest in pipe thread (NPT) would be something for 3/8" pipe, (larger on the OD) the external thread size. A plumber would know more.

Even my pipe threaders are 13 and 20. I dont have anything other than those sizes and even my chart skips it. I think he might need the #13 and 22/32 is 11/16.

First thing is to get the piece you're going to thread in, then see what you need. Sometimes a trip to the hardware supply will change the best plans!

Gerry, you are very close....it's for 1/2" X 1/2" PVC thread.

Sam. before you drill and tap, try your fitting in a 1/2"x13 NUT. If it fits, you're good, if not, you need the 1/2"x14. The hardware store will have one.
