I used that when I first started and i never will again. It doesn't fix the cause. Whatever the red slime is consuming must be removed or it will come back.
the red slime remover worked well for me, give it a try it should work within 24 - 48 hrs if it doesnt clear up by then it probably won't work but like i said it worked for me and there might be a chance it can work for u
Can you describe your tank and any other measures you have taken?
Do you have sand or crushed coral?
Skimmer? Adequate flow? Do you overfeed? Water changes?
These are all proactive measures to eliminate the environment that red slime uses to take hold.
+1 Special blend is a much better application than red slime remover.
i have sand, yes i have a skimmer and i think i was over feeding. i made a big water change do to that the red slim killed some om my live stock. But how they say!! u live and learn. also my skimmer is not working very well have to invest in changing it. i will never use red slim again!!
It does overtask skimmers to the point of flooding sometimes.
You said the water change killed the livestock or the red slime remover did.
Good to hear you will no longer be using it. There are some really good threads on red slime in here. They have excellent methods to remove and control it.
Seems like not all the food is getting consumed. Have you looked into beefing up your clean up crew? Sand sifting star and a good number of nasarrius snails.
A two little fishes media reactor with phosban is a common answer also.
