so i was reading the thread where his tank seal came undone and i thought wow floods must suck.i was wondering why my sump seemed to lose so much water in a quick amount of time and i thought nothing of it.so i topped off 21/2 gallons of water.couple hours later same thing i checked the water levelin the dt and it was stable.dumb me didnt check the level in the fuge tank which was steadily rising.so i dumpede more water in.i watched a movie and i was going off to bed when i said to myself to check the tanks.i checked the 125 it was fine i went into the 92 which i was having the issue with water evaporation which i thought and the fuge was spilling over.ahhhhhh i shut off the pumps and the water started pouring out the sump which was because i added 5 gallons of water that didnt need to be done.so you are probasbly wondering what the he11 happened.well i usually use a filter sock holder when it gets full the water spills over the top of sock back into sump,me being lay when i set the tank up i said i will just use the ip tie for now and zip it right around the pipe.well the sock got cloggedand there wasnt enough water flowing into the sump which made the fuge overflow.so when i pulled the plug on the return pump all the extra water i poured in my sump couldnt handle the excess..sometimes i just do dumb things and this cost me 1/2 hour of cleanup.anyway my salinity is fine and i added the filter sock holder.to all those who ziptie.dont do it hahaha
