First the photos u all have been taking has just been awsome, i mean the shots that masterswimmer took were just IMHO award winning.
I would like to purchase a camera so that I can shoot my livestock as well.
I don't want to spend more than $250-$300...

check out the kodak camers there more expensive ones. theres a really nice slim black one that takes awesome macro shots. also there a slim black panasonic that i borrowed from a friend to take macros it came out awesome....

Most likely it's minium focus distance. for the one cm one you can focus on things 1 cm away. for the 5mm you need to be that far away. and on telephoto, you have to be 25cm. (almost a foot away)

Hmm I see people recommend the Canon SD400. WHat about the SD450?? That's the one that I am looking at right now.. Is it better than the SD400?? I know the SD450 replace the SD400.

thxs bret, im making a decision on the canon a95 so it was good info to kno

froggie...i guess mostly my tank, i have 2 other diggy's, a really cheap 1 and a kodak c315, which is not much good for anything other than shooting round town...
