I am looking for a dual light timer. Something that can control two different pieces of equipment from one outlet with two seperate timer controllers.

Here is an example (doesn't have to be the same design).... but I would like the timer to run from one outlet:

this unit is nice, solid construction, durable, individual timers but it uses to power cords to supply the power.

does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to use the coralife product... bad reads on those things.

thanks

just buy a threeway adapter for extension cords plug that into the socket and then you can plug the two timers into the two outside plugs on the adapter. And the center plug gives you the width between the two timers that you need

you can build one for about $75 from home depot. even less if you use mechanical timers. There was a guy on rc selling them. it's just a 4 outlet box with 2 timers that control 2 outlets.

I was looking to find something that I could get away with using ONE outlet on the recepticle with two individual timers. I am using Tek T5s, no more MH for now. The Light house is an option, but I don't really need all the other features that are included (but its nice to have them).

Everything I have looked at, has one timer for two devices. The item shown has two timers, but two plugs... I could plug in a splitter to feed the power to that unit.

I like neat... I don't want a bunch of extra cables, controllers and timers laying around.

Thanks for everyone's ideas.

If neat and nice is what you want, you can always use a timed wall switch and mount it on the stand. Looks slick but takes time and a bit of DIY to accomplish,

Maybe I'm under-analyzing what you're looking for, but I use a combination of these 2 items:

I plug the single timer into one of the outlets which are always on. That turns on/off one of my halides while the integrated timer on the strip controls the 2nd halide. I hope that made sense? :scratchch

hahahaha!

yeah I was kind of looking for the "neat" factor... the "BMW" lets say.

I have two single digital timers, but they take up lots of room.

That dual timer unit is $215 :bigeyes2:

For that amount, I'll sell you my Reefkeeper and you can control 8 items!

Didn't plan to buy that specific unit. Was hoping someone knew of something similar to that.

I've been using the single cheapo timers for years....doesn't look as nice but for $5 each its worth it. They never failed on me!
