Considering you had to ask if you can drill the bottom, please research the risks of cracking the glass before attempting.

It depends who manufactured the tank. If your tank is Aqueon (formerly AGA) the bottom is NOT tempered and it can be drilled.

How much is that setup to drill the hole for 1" bulkhead? Is first time in my life when decided to put my pump to the sump but it was big mistake...
I also have to drill my sump.
