My pump for my skimmer died yesterday! I just ordered a new one online but it won't be here for about a week. So I'm just wondering what I can do to prevent any issues while the skimmer is down?
Here's what I was thinking
Limited feeding every other day ?
No oyster feast?
Just did 10 gal wc figure I'll do a 5 gal Monday and another when the pump gets here
Any other recommendations

Running a tank for a week with out a protein skimmer is fine. Just make sure you are running carbon. No need for any unscheduled/extra water changes IMO, you can cut down on feeding if it makes you feel better but I dont think its necessary.

Depends on where you were at on the dosing timeframe... to just stop cold turkey...hmm not good from what I've always read. It's recommended that you ween your system off of VD source or you may encounter issues with an algae bloom.
IMEO, I would continue with the W/C's to rid of any organcis that will/might accumulate from the carbon source of Vodka that lingers and without the PS on to rid the organics.. might spell trouble. Hope i'm wrong....

I think you'll be fine with the advice given above. However, if you want to borrow a skimmer, I have a Euro Reef RS-80 that you can use until your pump comes in.

you should be fine, no need to worry. Just be sure your system remains well aerated if your skimmer was your primary source of aeration.
