Salifert Test Question

I use the Salifert test kits and I need some clarification on when to stop adding drops. Is it when you see the first hint of the liquid changing from Pink to blue or continue until there is no pink left and its only clear blue? Same with the KH test...

Well you are supposed to swirl after each drop when it turns blue you stop

I agree - when that one drop starts to make the color change I always look away and then back at the vial and go with my first impression of the color.
The difference between almost the color you are looking to change to and almost being the color is usually only 1 drop..and in the general scheme of things that will not change the ultimate reading you are going to get anyway.

Yes but what I mean is most of the time the very top gets a little blue but the rest is still pinkish.
Do you mean swirl with like a toothpick or something ... meaning stir it?

dont us Salifert Kh its inaccurate i bought 3 differnt kh test kits 1 elos , TM kh and Fauna Marin dKH test Kit and all readings are almost the same . The elos was 7Dkh ,the TM Kh was 7.5Dkh and the Fauna Marin was 7.5 also . The Salifert Kh bought 2 and both of them read 10Dkh . I will never buy a Salifert Kh test kit ever again.

shake with your hand like rotate it. If your seeing pink at bottom and purple on top is because its not mixed properley
