can i swap out a 150 DE MH bulb with a 70 Watt MH DE bulb..i just got a MH aquamedic light from a member..and 150 may be to much let me know if it is okay.
ahhhhh so put it as high as u can.. then put a fan blowing ontop of the water.. should be no worries just keep a close eye on it for the 1st few days to make sure the water is heating or over cooling
i am also having a hard time firing one bulb...the Radium 20K bulb Fires for like 2 mins then it shuts down? any idea..the guys said the bulb only have a couple of hours on it..the 10K fires fine..you think the iceprobe will keep the temp down?....
ummm i cant really tell ya.. i neva used the iceprobe.. maybe one of the other guys on here can tell ya... but for the 20k firing is it a 150 watt bulb for sure.. and make sure its securely in...
tony yea it is a 150W...it is in as tight as i can get it what gives...if cooling becomes an issure..i can alwas go to home depot and get some wood to make a little leg for my tank i don't think it will be to big of a deal for me...but the 20K bulb is driving me crazy..any other suggestions..it is a Radium bulb are they good?
hmmm i dont recall talking about that bulb but i would ask one of the mods or just ask in general for someone to answer the radium question.. so it only fires for 2 min. then shuts off....
it shouldnt do that unless the bulb is defective.. if it is not doing it with the other bulb then i would say there something def. wrong with that bulb..
yea so when the bulb cools down it fires up again for 2 mins..but when it is hot...i try to turn it on again it tries to fire for a sec then just gives up...anybody have this problem?
