I've had a red scooter blenny for about 4 months now - has always been really active in my tank, but has seemed really odd lately. Doesn't seem to eat unless I put the baster right in front of him and put the cyclopeeze in his mouth.

I know my tank, at 16g is a little small for one- as the usually feed on pods and the like and I don't know how many my tank supports.

He has seemed rather listess for the past two weeks- and is getting fairly skinny. Any suggestions for feeding him? I only feed cyclopeese- in the morning I feed the entire tank by dumping a little in (unfortunately the lights are off as I feed before I leave for work), then I spot feed things at night (including him now).

If he doesn't look like he is improving in a week or so I will trade him for some frags - he had so much personality its hard to see him act like this.

Any thoughts?

On another note I am sad to say my feather duster expelled itself from its tube...I guess I should pull it from the tank tomorrow so it doesn't pollute it.

one more thing- just noticed a tiny urchin on the rock- my tank has been up for 7 months and I'm still noticing new life :)

Everything else is healthy and happy btw- water tests fine, my firefish is healthy and happy, corals growing like crazy, etc...

Thanks!

I think feather duster worms rebuild their tubes from sand. So pulling him out may not be necessary. But they are vulnerable to prey right now; I think burying him under the sand is the solution.

thnx- the worm looks to have already burried itself in the sand...hopefully it will survive!

I am going to grab some blood worms or the like from the store today- hopefully he will like these better...
