Pendant L.E.D help

Can anyone give me any advice on how to attach LEDs to my reef optics pendant? Has anyone used something that worked good for them? I'm using a 96 watt coralife PC fixture with a uv 454 attinic for the morning and dusk effect. I would like to use blue LEDs instead of this and possibly incorporate some moonlight effect too. Thanks in advance, any help or advice is appreciated.

You can get an LED strip and attach on the outside. It's not a clean look, but works well. Pictures of what I did:
