IC 175w ballast and 175 XM SE bulbs question

I have two 175watt Icecap ballast and two 175 watt XM bulbs.

The problem is that it take a long time to get the bulb started. It usually take like 30 seconds and sometime I have to replug the power to get it to work. Did anyone had this problem before or the time it take to start a 175 XM bulb usually take this long?

I don't know if it is my mogul socket, ballast or bulb problem. Anyone??

Is your 175W ballast blue and looks like a IC660 VHO ballast? can you disconnect the wire harness? If so, you have a older style ballast.

The older style ballast needs to be "tuned" to run certain bulbs, Icecap does it for free. You may want to post this question and a picture of your ballast on RC's icecap forum.
