mp40 wet side

anyone have a mp40 wet side they can let me borrow for a couple of days.seems as if my new mp40s nylon screw broke and vortech is not open today to help me.im guessing thats why it sounded like a hydrolic lift

I'm sure there's a way to take it off as they sell just the plastic screw at EcoTech's Parts Store:

Perhaps email them for dis-assembly instructions? Checking my spare wetside, a philips screw is on the back. You would probably have to remove the grille and hold the nut with a pair of pliers while loosening from the philips side.

its weird it seems like the screw is part of the impellar.it doesnt come out?i tried tapping it and its not coming loose

Okay, being as I'm bored and was curious myself, I took my spare wet-side apart. If you removed the cover with the spongey layer, you'll see a Philips head groove, with a pair of pliers I held the bolt in-place at the front of the wet-side and unscrewed the plastic screw. After that the bolt and propeller slid right out.

so you are saying the philips head bolt which is approx 3" long slid out once you took the nut off.my bolt broke looks like 1 inch to the philips head.i took the nut off the one side and the threaded piece will not come out

Yes, once I removed the bolt, the entire assembly slid right out. Here's a picture of mine disassembled if it helps any.

That's odd because the plastic bolt isn't threaded into to the propeller. Worst case, you can buy the maintenance kit for $20 and swap out the whole assembly. Or you can just buy the drive shaft with the prop.

That is odd indeed. Is there crud that's preventing the plastic shaft from being removed? What's at the back of the prop?

i dont know this is a weird impellar.i think where i bought it messed around with it.i dont think this is the impellar that comes with the mp40
