It ain't easy.

You can use a trap or you can try to catch them sleeping. I caught a clarkii clown that way-- I waited until the lights had been out for a while, then shined a flashlight in his face and netted him while he was in a stupor, bumping into rocks and things.

try my red laser light method.shine it into a fish trap and it may follow it in.worked for me twice.
