I need some help
I bought both an aqua controller jr and a tunze multicontroller used from forum members here and at rc. I dis not realize how expensive the tunze 6055's were. Then I read up on the ac jr and saw that it can control pumps too.
I planned to use the ac jr for temp, ph and lights, but now I want to find out about the pump control.
I guess i want to know first what pumps can I get, will it run the hydor koralias? Also which setup is better for pump control, the tunze 7094 or the ac-jr?
Thanks much

To control any controllable Tunze pumps such as the 6055 on the AC Jr., you need to also purchase an Aqua Surf from Neptune.
For non-controllale powerheads such as the Hydors, you can write a syntax that tells the powerhead to turn on/turn off every x-amount of seconds/minutes.

Just to clear something up, the 7094 will only control a Tunze controllable pump, the controllable Hydors require their own; neither the AC jr or 7094 will work on them. The non controllable pumps, both Tunze and Hydor, can be turned on/off as Warren mentioned with the AC jr.

Ok, so if I understand this, I can use any non-controllable pump with the ac-jr, but I need to write a script for it. I can use the 7094 with any tunze controllable pump. I knew that you couldn't mix hydor and tunze stuff, but tks anyway.

Does one solution offer any better performance or options? Seeing as Incan go either way i want to spend the $ once.

Thanks for the help!

Controllable pumps cost 4x as much and are more desired because they vary in speed vs a non-controllable pump that just shuts off and turns on at a constant speed when used with wave makers. Plus the clicking noise of the Koralia turning on and off might drive you crazy :lol2:

Tunze 6055s paired with a Tunze 7095 with the interval 2 mode will give you a great chaotic flow.
