so for about a month my tank will be clear as day.overnight it gets real cloudy and stays that way for 3 days then it clears up for a couple of days and the cloud starts all over again.i have no idea whats going on and i am not adding anything to the tank i havent added in years.can this be something spawning over and over.can a piece of equipment be going bad.nothing in the tank seems stressed.

I just recently spoke to my bro about your post he said when he had leathers it would happen too once a month, they shut down once a month to release all there waste, your protein skimmer should clean it right up... Hope this helps!

its not once a month its every 3 to 4 days.i do notice alot of baby snails in my sump though.if thats the case and the snails are spawning i have some pimp snails becaue it happens alot.i run carbon and phosban and my pars are fine.i cant check cal or alk because i havent received my kits yet.everything looks great in the tank.nothing is stressing.and i only have 1 leather in my tank which is a 92

well i think i figured it out and i believe its a bad setup design thats the culprit and there is little i can do about it now.my DT pours into my fuge then into my sump which is a big mistake but it was the only option i had due to limited space, well the fuge is collecting alot of debris and it finally erupted into a cloud in the tank.this is my belief on why its so cloudy,im going to try and add a filter sock to the drain pipe that leads into the fuge and add some sandsifting stars to the fuge and see if that helps.thats option 1.option 2 is to redo the whole fuge/sump and see what options i can do.if all else fails im going to have someone build me a triangular tank to fit on the bottom tier of my system
