I didn't think it was when I first started...then everyone started schooling me on the importance of pure water... read that article. it's REALLY informative... the rodi machine was 1 of the biggest purchases that I've made that truly made a difference. no more guessing what's in your water.... and it's relatively CHEAP too. considering stores rip you off at sometimes $20 a bucket of water??? GET THE F*** out of here with those insane prices... 4 of those buckets and you have yourself a good rodi unit
