Will aefw die after all the acros are gone?
And what are the natural predators for aefw?
I read some where if you have no acros the aefw will die?
I do not have them just wanted to know
Thanks all

They will die after 6 weeks without having acros to feed on. Natural predators are certain wrasses, (melanarus, coris) but they will not wipe out an infestation completely, only help to keep them under control.

They will eat Milleopora, in fact they have been known to go after them even more.

"millies" are Acros (acropora species), so yes they will infest them. They do not attack Montipora (digitata or any other species) nor Seriatopora (birdsnest) only Acropora species , and potentially any Acropora species. If there are no Acropora present in the system they will die eventually --- 6 weeks sounds like a reasonably safe bet. While there are surely predators in the wild, there are no proven known predators in captivity and I do not agree that wrasses are effective at all or that they even hunt them on the colony. What is definately true, is that pretty much all fish will eat them if they are knocked off the colony and become waterborne.
