same size, just part of it is outside. I like being able to face the tunze where I want it to go. I know I can knock the tunze off. Im still not convinced!

Ronen,
I am one of the beta testers:) If you want to check one out, you are welcome to stop by anytime. I've had it a month or so and I coudn't be happier. To answer a few of the questions, it has speed control (30-100%) right out of the box. They are in the final design phase of a very high tech wireless controller that will control up to 10 pumps at once with all the usual bells and whistles and more. Also, and most important to me, they will also be introducing a battery backup that integrates seemlessly with the pump providing 24+hrs. of run time-- the pump senses the power outtage and automatically ramps down to low speed and kicks into battery mode. When the power returns, the pump ramps back up and recharges the battery. The price for these 2 add ons is not yet known and all told will be quite hefty, but high tech water movement and power outage security in one package is very appealing to me consideing the price we pay for everything else in this hobby. The wattage usage is still not public knowledge, but it is very close to 30W depending on the speed you run the pump.

I have to see it in action. My tank cant handle any more flow than It already has. I dont need more power, just more efficiency! I just have to see it. Also I have 4 cats and three dogs. If that pump does not fall accidentally, then I will get one.

My biggest fear in the tank is the powerhead failing. I spent way too much money and time on redundancy to make sure that does not happen. The powerhead being able to be knocked off is not something I can live with. Remains to be seen as far as I am concerned.

Its always the same, people overly excited over a new product. How will it be when faced with mass production etc......
