aquac ev-120 john guest fitting

i have a ev-120 aquac skimmer, but mine doesn't have the john guest fitting. i'm trying to drill a hole in the skimmer so i can attach a ozonizer tube. i know the john guest fitting is located between the air valve and the injector. i'm just unsure how far i should drill. has anybody tried this? or have any information on this? anything would be appreciated. thanks

How are you plan to tap a hole for the fitting? I don't think you'll have enough room to insert a tap in the hole.

i was thinking of just drilling and then sealing a john guest fitting in the hole.

Not a good idea, John Guest fittings are threaded so you will need to tap the acrylic. How are you plan to drill the 1/8" thick acrylic? you'll probably crack the acrylic with a hand drill.

This mod will make your EV120 decline in value when you want to sell it.
