Hermit Crabs and critters

Do hermit crabs eat critters (such as copepods and stuff)?

I have some hermits that i just keep in my quarantine tank, but i would like the tank to act as a fuge as well for copepods and other critters to reproduce which i can then feed to my main tank as a treat from time to time.

I just want to make sure that the hermit crabs arent going to be eating any critters i may have in there.:eat:

Ive never seen one eat one.. But I wouldnt doubt it they are pretty opportunistic. If they will eat snails im sure they eat copepods.

I don't even think hermits can even catch copepods. They move extremely fast and they are really tiny.
