No matter what kind of light you have from PC's,T5's, MH HQI Just post it here. From what time you have your actinics on till daylight till actinics again...what ever it is ...post the times here..

9:00 AM to 12:00 AM 2x110w VHO actinics (sometimes with a break between 2 PM and 6 PM

1:00 PM to 9:00 PM 2x250w MH XM20K

11:00 PM to 9:00 AM LED Blue Moonlights

All managed by monkeys with remotes :fight2: (ie. timers)

If you work a 9-5 job, why have the lights kick on when you're not home? If the tank is in a room that doesn't get natural light, the inhabatants of the tank won't know the difference. It's not like fish wear watches! Although I have heard rumors of some lawnmower blennies wearing pocket watches.

lol - so true, most people have their lights come on @ 6pm like me.

4pm - 2am ~ Moon lights
5pm - 1am ~ Act 36w
6pm - 12am ~ MH 175w

My blenny's watch wasn't waterproof so it broke
Then I felt like playing a 6 hour daylight savings time trick on him year round :tongue1::lol:

But seriously, the same reasons as everybody else. I want the lights on when I get home from work and they'll turn off slightly before I sleep

I guess Im one of the few who go to sleep early for school and can't have the lights be on so late..so my lighting schedule reflexs that...

Acntics-8:00am -8pm
MH-9:30am - 5:45pm
Moonlights -8:30pm-7:45am

I like to be able to see my tank at night (when i'm home) and i strech it out till the morning so i can also see it when i wake up before i go to work.
I also take advantage of Off-Peak electricity rates (10pm-10am)

Reef tank light schedule:
Two VHO Actinic on at 4:30PM, off at 6PM, on again at 10:30PM, off at 1:30PM.
Two 250W MH, one on at 5:15PM, off at 11:15PM, second one on at 5:30PM, off at 11:30PM.

Fish tank schedule:
Two 5' T5, one actinic and one 6500K bulb. On at 3:30PM and off at 12:15AM.

10 am to 10 pm actinics on

12 pm to 8 pm 10k's on

10 pm to 10 am moon lights and fuge light on.
