Yesterday was fun. I run a submerged drain on my tank and have had a hard time regulating the water level since I went on vacation. So I went ahead and bought a seaswirl so I can use both drain and return as drains. A bit of a safety precaution. Went pretty smooth but was a pain to screw in. corals seem happy so far but time will tell

well working on thining out the mass of corals to add a few new pieces in. picked up a frag of romels watermellon, a nice sunset milli, a yellow milli that has turned green underneath my t5's, tyrees jade something and one i cant remember for the life of me. also picked up a nice frag of jason fox blood shoots and a few other zoa/palys

well if all goes well i will have some whyoming whites in the near future. my breeding pair started to lay again and the increase in temps has sent my snocassos into overdrive. now i can shut the fish porn off. anyway got find a home for a large tricolor acro so i can get my watermellon on my sps island. definately running out of room

Yah but I just got this tank to where I wanted it to be. If I get another one its going to be a age rimless with external overflow. 48 x 36 x 22

Temp swings and electric. Tired of 500 $ bills. That and I like the control of the leds. Also not having to change them for so many years makes it worth that much more

i just picked a nice pair of snowflakes this week for my attached frag tank. im up to 10 different pairs now.

tank is growing really well. some colors are getting muted like the reds but the growth is so sick.
skimmer runs 10 hours a day but not really pulling that much out. did some cleaning and a water change yesterday so we will see what happens in the next week or so

So the marineland cubes have corner overflows now? So hard finding info on this tank. I've read that they have overflow boxes located in the middle and that it gives no room.

How are you liking the tank? Considering upgrading and may go with a cube. It also may have been mentioned in the thread, but is it drilled on the bottom or back still?

the 45 and 60 gallons have a center overflow. real bad design. very difficult to plumb the return and the drain. the 70 and the 90 have full sized corner overflows.
i like the tank but wish they would make a external overflow. my next tank will be a custom cube with external overflow and calfo coast to coast
