Ok what is photoinhibition ? In short it is when the symbiotic zooxanthellae it exsposed to to much light ( to long of a photo period or to much intenses lighting like a par level of 500) When this happens the symbiotic zooxanthellae become very stressed and stops feeding thus causing lack of color and growth. I am only only referring to sps at this point.

nah it isnt like that. but i do understand the frustration. i had the lighting talk with a few people years back and since then i had cut my lighting cycle then, how it was put to me is the light from the sun doesnt stay focal for 10 hours in one spot in the ocean so why do it in your tank, plus i like having my bulbs last longer and saving a little energy

OK guys I brought this up not because of thing that happen here . I brought this up because alot of people swear that more light is good and when i tell them to lower there photo period thay tell me im crazy. Didnt come off rude or nasty to anyone read the post again and it was about growth, every one jumped on me and said i was wrong and i never wrote back that was it i didnt even flip out on anyone . There even was a few people that told me what thay did was wrong. Read the post again Your mistaken it for somthing else justin.
