What coral is this?

Yeah yeah I know it's not the greatest of pictures.

I've had this for quite some time... It had died off and came back a a few months ago... I'm thinking some kind of encrusting monti...?
It is a highly neon green florescent color with brown and green polyps.

is it a montipora spongodes?

Either Montipora spongodes or montipora confusa. Spongodes grows long thick stalks while confusa is more chaotic like setosa. Spongodes is one of my favourite sps.

Well there's really no "stalks" on this... just looks like a bunch of little hills.
Then I have another one which looks just like it (color and polyps)... but it grows out slightly more flat. Don't know if it is from the same frag initially... as it's in another part of my tank, and it's in the back where it is much more difficult to get a proper picture of.

I wouldn't say its a confusa because confusas aren't usually as bunched up...I would also say its a spongode.
