Looks like hair algae growing through tubes?

I unfortunately cannot get a decent picture. Two weeks ago I purchased some Green Star Polyps to start my reef (finally). But on the small piece of live rock I got, it I also got a few heads of zoas, as well as a piece of a mushroom. But lately I've been noticing something that looks like hair algae growing through small translucent tubes. The "heads" have multiplied, and the turbo snails don't touch them, even when they clean this piece of rock...is this a coral of some kind?

Possibly a species of Vermatid worm or spaghetti worm. Again, a picture is worth a thousand words!
