My tank is 2 weeks old I noticed these tiny things crawling on the glass.. They are like the size of a micro bubble they are clearish white have the shape of a teardrop or oblong pill and have legs on each side looks like a mite or something..Its way too small to get a pic..From what I described does anyone have a idea what these might be?found these on net but no id

the teardrop shape could be form of flatworm maybe, but the size is throwing me off. if you search the name "skene" he posted a few times a pest identification site. it might even be a sticky at this point as i know he has posted it more than once in last six months or so

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]This little guy is in the Jellyfish family - Cladonema jellyfish. Brad mentions: "It is extremely tiny, maybe 1 or 2 mm across, and stuck to my glass (aquarium wall)." I won't go as far as to say it is Reef-safe, but it is interesting none-the-less. [/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]From this page: "These are small jellyfish that can swim, but which also fasten to the substrate. Unlike the Staurocladia mentioned above, they don't crawl much. Not much is known about their biology. In aquaria they probably feed on small copepods and particulate material in the water. They may be distinguished from Staurocladia by more developed globular bell, their slightly larger size, and the shape of the tentacles."[/FONT]
