Can any body tell what the two snails in the first pic are? I bought eight that were being sold as Mexican Turbos but I thought they might be trochus. Those eight snails vacuumed up the algae off my back wall overnight. Not that I'm complaining, but now I'm concerned they may starve. They have reddish-purple stripes and a black foot that's white on the underside. They do a twisty sort of thing when a hermit crab gets on them.
The shell in the second pick was sold to me as a fighting conch. I was killed by a hermit crab within about twelve hours, maybe for shell. Just wondering if worth buying another and getting rid of crab.
