Tube worms?

Hey all, it's been a looooooong time all!

Trying to help a friend with his tank. Drawing a blank on these, if you can tell from the picture. The whiteish long strings... Some sort of Tube worm? They're completely infested in his sand. Def not vermatid snails. ID and possible cures anyone? Thanks!

Kind of, but there are only 2 or 3 strands coming out of each location...

Guess you can use a tweezer or tong and see if you can grab the body from the sand. Should give you a better idea of what you're dealing with...
