It looks like a torch or a frogspawn. Is the stalk a hard skeleton?

Looks defintely like a torch. The tips are single and do not look like a frogspawn, They do not look rectangular enough to be a hammer.

It should be deprnding on the depth of tank and lighting. I have my hammers around 2 -6 inches off the bottom in a 24" deep tank, with 6x39W T5's
