seems like alot of your industry info links have been removed from your reefsource site, and i was just wondering why ya chose to remove 'em

I've removed everything from the main page. The only way anyone can access any of it now is to have it book marked or to stumble across it in a search engine. I'm going to begin the tedious task of sorting through and deleting all of it soon though, so even those methods won't grant access. Why? Because I'm fed up. What's the point of having all of that stuff up there? Either everyone ignores it or someone like Wayne is created. Marine Specialties International, Inc. owns reefsource.com and Marine Specialties International, Inc. is no longer in the business of trying to educate the masses. I've wasted enough of my time, energy, and money on industry issues with basically nothing to show for it. Time to put my resources into something more worthwhile.

It was really sad to see the infomation removed.
It was the best source of all for information on cyanide and what was really happening in the industry.

I believe I might have a copy of the evidence.
What exactly were you looking for Vitz?

i sincerely doubt that there is any info i need that you could provide me with :wink:

if however, you ever decide to get your head straightened out, and become a non ranting person of reason, lemme know, i probably have access to lots of things you aren't even aware of :wink:

you'll have to stop refering to it as 'evidence', though- i want no part in some lunatic's witch hunt :lol:

You better not have any copies of the tons of tons of stuff that I wrote personally and put on that website. That is called copyright infringement. Every page on Reefsource has and always has had a copyright notice.

Jenn, as stated on here numerous times I am no longer buying from the Philippine net caught stations. Haven't been for a few months. The stocklist used to always be split into 2 sections- net caught station and fill in supplier. It hasn't been split for months now because all we use is the fill in supplier out of the Philippines. I know of two customers in particular that received fish from the net caught station via MSI from the last shipment we did a few months ago. GARBAGE. Hundreds of dollars in credits. I got sick of throwing away net caught fish. If it had been one consistent problem, it could have been fixed. But it was something different every single time. Two or three excellent shipments and then a disaster. Whereas the fill in supplier had been completely consistent with the fish that I knew were hand caught, so I tried the "unknowns". Still consistent.

But your list always stipulated what fish were from net-caught only countries too - which is what I liked. I appreciated that you split the PI fish into two categories.... but just knowing specifically where things come from made a big difference as far as I am concerned.

I just don't want there to be confusion between you removing your information (a detriment to us all, IMO...) and you changing the way you do business, because as far as I am concerned, you haven't changed the essence of the way you do business -- you offer honesty and transparency and I certainly appreciate that.

We will continue to be the only wholesaler who offers exact country of origin for every species we have. All you have to do is look at the second letter of the item code. The legend to determine the country of origin is always at the top of each page of the stocklist. I've always felt that this information was important- both for my own records and for retailers/hobbyists. That will never change. Quality control is and always will be important for us with any of the animals we import. Right now we've just decided to focus on our greenhouse rather than running ourselves into the red for yet another year with net caught fish. My business will always be transparent. I'm not one of these people who will claim to have net caught when I'm not 99% sure of it. Could I still easily claim all of my fish are net caught? With my reputation, yes I could, and no one would know. But I wouldn't do that.
