Another bombshell ; high level firing at MAC

And the MAC bloodletting continues with still another firing.

At the top of the MAC organization for 7-8 years, the last from the old guard has just been sacked... [ hint, long time stalwart] .
They no longer have anyone from the good ol' days to fire or force out.
This makes it unanimous....
The group is now totally free of talent...goodwill, momentum, experience and achievment.
Its melting down, turning on each other and is on the verge of some vicious and legal warfare.
But....
You didn't hear it from me.

PS...They suspect him of being our deepthroat...but he's not.
Whos next?

The only real chance for MAC to make is for the team captain to step down nicely.
He shouldn't discredit himself like this and blame everyone else.
He should do the right thing and accept responsibility for not connecting with poor fisherman in the basic...and not really so difficult process of initiating the reforming the trades practices.

Umm, Mitch, IIRC JB doesn't have any position in MAC, nor did he ever, besides being a volunteer. You can't fire a volunteer BOD Besides, his time on the BOD has come and gone. I don't think he has much to do with MAC any longer, although, I could be wrong.

I would not say that losing Peter Scott was a huge blow.... Considering that Mr. Scott never contacted our Certified Company once, even though it was his main responsibility to work with the people within the certification....I would not even feel his absense.

My opinion, sounds like MAC is trying to make some changes for the better, which is what Steve you are really saying.

Not trying to dis-credit any of the those that are now gone...Mark, David, Peter and others, I just hope that change is for the positive and that each change brings progress.

That now takes care of Pauls primary trusted insider of the entire history of MAC....
They are all gone now...and a greener crew in place.
A greener, less able crew.
There is only one more to go...the leader who ruined the entire organization, alienated every environmentally oriented aquarium person there was and squandered years, millions and goodwill.....only to blame everyone else in sight.
The noble thing to do would be to resign.

Read your MAC Newsletters-David and Mark were responsible for the US, Peter for Europe. Dont believe the BS that Reef Check tell you and by the way Eric, it is not a requirement as a director of Reef Check to keep your tongue up Gregor Hodgsons *** and regurgitate what he says. Hodgson is no friend of MAC we all know that.

Eric stand up like a man, stand proud as the owner of SDC and tell it as it really is. Get real, Hodgsons cant deliver on the promises that he has made you about getting all the MAC fish from the Philippines and Indonesia only to your benefit.

So Eric withdraw your tongue, take a deep breath, forget what you have been promised by Reef Check and tell the truth. The air tastes a lot sweeter in the real world.

Holthus wants a job for life. Just like Vaughn Pratt did at IMA.

Well Pratt got what was coming to him and so will Holthus.

Probably we should expect more from Holthus as the son of a US Military man but no.

It is a pity that good people such as Svein Fossa have aligned themselves with Holthus.

John Brandt IS NOW employed by MAC as their North American Director.

John is a good guy but must desparately need the money because no-one in their right mind would join the Titanic as it was about to go under.

We hope John sees sense and gets out before Holthus starts to blame him for the lack of progress of the MAMTI Project.

So firing all the staff for his failures has a flip side;
a more compliant, obedient list of yes-men whos job is to look busy as they keep spending the money...in Manila....wow! What a job!

Does anyone find it a bit odd that what the trade thinks apparently carries no weight with this guy?
Disgrace is not disgrace....no conversions, no fish supply and no more following are rewarded as there is still money to fail for years to draw upon without earning it.
I have found a name for my new book; Funding Failure.

This kind of thing really gives conservation and NGOs a bad name....and although some would still shoot the messenger for bringing forth the news, fewer now do.

Result-free Eco enterprise groups cause even idealists to lose faith in them. They held center stage and sopped up all the funding...and have nothing to report that holds up.....except the firing of all who followed the director.

I doubt that newmacceo is an insider as he obviously has his facts wrong, and just the tone of his post, shows what kind of person he is....certainly NOT the new mac ceo!

Anyone that knows me, would never have posted or said those nasty things without cause.

It does surprise me though that the moderators would allow such a post that contradicts the policies and ethic's of posting here.

Anyway, I have been visiting this forum for years, and it's the first time I have been treated like that. I can take it, even if it's not even close to the truth.

Eric, you are right in that newmacceo has behaved uncivilly and out of line. He is a new account and his ip is not shared with any previous user, so I am unable to determine who he is (although I do know the rough location of his posts - information which I will not publically disclose).

But regardless, newmacceo's posts are disrespectful at best. Further offenses will result in a ban, so newmacceo, conduct yourself in a more civil and mature manner in accordance with the registration agreement you agreed to.
