Personal mail

If someone sends you a personal mail do the moderators sometimes go into your account and remove those messages, even if you didn't ask them too? Case in point. I got an email saying I had personal mail from one of the posters here on rdo. When I went to read it, the title of the message was there, but when I clicked to open I get the following message:

Page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Please try the following:

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Open the www.reefs.org home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
Click the Back button to try another link.
Problem: Unknown Error -1.




What is up with that?

AFAIK, RDO admins have never mucked with pm's, and even if it were to happen its not very easy to do, requiring manipulation of the DB itself, not the web based interface.
The message you are getting sometimes happens when the server glitches and if you try again it may work. Also that message may come up if the sender of the pm changed or deleted it before you got a chance to open it - something that is easy to do with the web based interface.

Are you saying you can send someone a PM and then delete it after it is in their mailbox? Sure didn't know that.

Yes, you can delete a message before the other person reads it (recall)
