Barrier Reef 'can adapt' to warmer times

I am not sure what warmer times they are talking about but this is pretty interesting. This planet has previously been a lot warmer and a lot colder than it is right now. Corals are tougher than some folks might think, which is fantastic news.

great news, but it's only one issue facing the reefs, overfishing (for food) and pollution from erosion runoff might kill it first. Australia is fighting an army of starfish, but they are fighting them, I wonder how the poor island countries are fairing in this fight. The wholesalers and importers might be able to chime in on what poorer countries are doing.

They must be doing alright on the GBR if they are approving CITES permits for stony corals now.
