They hold meetings on the first Friday of each month out in Commack. Nice group of people. There is a speaker giving a presentation at each meeting, a chance to see some very nice SW tanks (where the meeting is held), and they hold an auction at the end of each meeting.
Quite a few of the members post items they will be selling at the meeting also. That info can be found on Reef Central in the LIRA forum on there.
While I usually attend the meetings (I am a member of LIRA), I might be skipping this meeting

This Friday Greg Hiller will be coming down, his topic avoiding reef keeping disasters; something in the back of everyone's mind. Have Rafal demoing a few of the Pacific Sun LED lights for those interested along with James rather large LED lighting collection.
Speaker starts at 8P so for those interested in the LED lights please arrive early.
