Nope, no pics due to no digital camera. I still have no clue what the grainy pink things are, and they don't seem to be increasing in number . .. but if anything else happens, i'll be sure to let everyone know :)

  4. disaster! velvet! now what?

hi, it has been about a week since i posted this (and one week since my aquarium has been fishless), but I have one more concern regarding my situation: is it ok to add a few more inverts to my tank right now? i was thinking of adding some coral, but I'm not sure if now's a good time, since i'm...

  6. disaster! velvet! now what?

Quarantine like crazy!) i believe it was velvet. This happend over a span of a few weeks, in which i only saw a few fish with...

  8. remove algae--need tips!

Ok, here are the facts about my set up..I hope this helps you guys come up w/more tips! In short, the entire aquarium was donated to me by a neighbor who lives 2 doors away from us (had to move away). (They've had it established for years), and now I have had it for about 3 months. The tank...
  9. remove algae--need tips!

Thanks for the reply, Righty. Oh, as for the light being on every night, I meant that I have the aquarium lights on for about 4-5 hours at night (usually when it's dark outside, the tank lights go on). Lights are for the anemones. Is this a problem?
  10. remove algae--need tips!

My tank is 55 gals, with a big white rock (decorational purpose only) in the middle as a center piece. The white rock is covered with algae (i'm guessing the brown kind, cause that's what hte color is!) I've tried removing it and cleaning it but it's hard, because of all those little ridges...

  13. signs of a hosting damsel?

  14. inverted anemone?

Hi, everyone, (obviously!) i'm a newbie here, and I'm kinda puzzled about something that I read about anemones. I just got a condy one last week, and so far, it seems to be doing well in my 55 gal fish only aquarium . . .however, i read that when an anemone is dying, it will invert its mouth...
