I'm trying to set up a 150 basically like yours. Are you going to add some type of bypss to restrict flow to the sump?? Some one told me not to push more gph through than your skimmer can handle. Dont really know what i'm talking about just passing on what i read.GOOD LUCK

HELP!! im confused. silica is good. silicates are bad. glass is made of silica thats good. silicates are algea food thats bad. some sponges eat silicates that is good. corline algea is good( so wont it eat silicates) or is that bad?? What started all this is im trying to set up a 130 gal reef...

yes i can go out 25 miles to some islands where it should be mostly clean, but yes i think it is probally illigal. so how about the rock???

I have issues with my lfs guy. He is trying to talk me out of using beach sand, because our area has a ot of "silicates" . I think he is trying to bs me cause he want to sell me a bunch of sand. o yea i'm trying to set up a 130 gal reef with 60 gal sump. But this brings me to my next...
