From what I read, pH=8.5 appears to be around the upper limit

Rossi Thanks. WHich one did you use - "True pH Plus" or "pH-control Plus". Or are they the same thing except one is a solid and the other is a liquid.

Where did you get your pH plus. I looked for it in the Kent website under saltwater - buffer, but did not see the mention of pH-plus

The Bicolor I have eats not only frozen food but also pellets and nori. It is about 3" and stays out in the open all the time.

Are the feathery things next to the mushrooms feather dusters?

I have tried to pull these feathery things (hydra?) from the rocks without too much success. Please advise on how to remove them? or should I just leave them alone. Thank you and happy New Year

Ooops - here is the green one

I bought Eric Borneman's book as a Christmas present for myself and am learning how to id corals. The attached photo of the red coral- is it a Trachyphyllia? or a Lobophyllia?. Also, I was told the green one is a Caulestra, but it looks more like a Trachyphyllia to me. Am I way off in both...

The tank is about 2 months. I found last night some white things growing out of the live rocks. Could it be hydrozoa as one of the members in the "new to the hobby" forum suggested. Please advice and also tell me if I need to remove these new growth. Thanks
