I'll give this a shot, don't laugh at the drawing. The "H" is the skimmer body. The "I" is the outlet pipe. Notice the "T" in the outlet pipe. The outlet pipe goes verticle to the "T" then a piece of pipe extends up and acts as a vent and siphon break. Where the pipe comes out of the "T"...

After the name change from Pet Warehouse to Drs F&S, the prices went up. After a couple of monthes Pet Solutions joined the price hike. Neither have descent sales any more either. The prices at Etropicals went up after their aquisition, and I have heard several complaints about the quality...

My emerald has been well behaved. I'm thinking about adding several more, I just hope they're as good as this one.
